ORGANIZATIONS

* The Jack London Society
An international non-profit organization that promotes study of the life and work of Jack London. It is an author society associated with the American Literature Association.
* The Jack London Foundation
A non-profit organization that promotes the development of curricular materials for the study of Jack London K-12, and sponsors an annual writing contest. It also houses the Jack London Research Center in Glen Ellen, the repository of the notes of Russ Kingman.

PUBLICATIONS

* Jack London Journal
The Jack London Journal provides a broad forum for the study of Jack London and his work by promoting an interdisciplinary perspective. It appears annually and represents the latest research and debate. It also publishes hard-to-locate primary documents. The 2001 issue is devoted to the recently located oral history of London's valet, Yoshimatsu Nakata. Back issues are available from the publisher.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Jack London Society will hold two panels at the 2008 ALA Conference at the Hyatt Embarcadero in San Francisco in May, 2008. Submissions deadline is December 31, 2008. Check The Jack London Society for more details on the event and types of submissions to be considered.

A new journal, Studies in American Naturalism, is now being published, produced by Keith Newlin of the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
