Editorial Policies
The Journal is a scholarly peer-reviewed publication. Review time is three to four months.
The editors consider manuscripts that deal directly or indirectly with the work of Jack London. They accept manuscripts that examine a broad range of work or single-text readings of Jack London's works or of those who surrounded him. They accept unsolicited book reviews and critical responses to essays published in JLJ and elsewhere. They do not accept fiction or poetry.
Essays and books reviews of two copies should be no longer than 8000 words, double-spaced, with generous margins. Submissions on disk are encouraged along with the two copies.
The Chicago Manual of Style should be consulted during preparation for style specifications.
Manuscripts will not be returned unless accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
