The Jack London Society, Inc., an international non-profit organization that promotes study of the life and work of Jack London, was founded in 1990 as an author society affiliated with the American Literature Association. It numbers over 200 members and continues to grow each year. Membership is open to anyone interested in London. The Society publishes a biannual magazine, The Call, which features short articles, announcements, news about member activities, book collecting information, photographs, notices of recent publications, reviews, and research notes. It also holds bienniel Symposia to feature the latest scholarship.
